From a Tea Plantation to a CPA

Shevar Goonewardena is a Principal in our Sacramento, California office.  He and his team joined CLA about five years ago and I have spent many days doing a road trip with Shevar, Robby Walker and Preston Cardinet through the San Joaquin valley visiting clients and prospects over the last few years (although COVID-19 has certainly put a crimp in that).

What you may not know about Shevar is that he grew up on a Tea Plantation in Sri Lanka.  He came to the states to get his education and decided to stay permanently and just became a US citizen a while back.

Shevar and I did an interview about his journey and I think you will enjoy getting to know how a kid from Sri Lanka became a CPA in the US.
