CLA Foundation provides grant to National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF)

CLA is about creating opportunities. One way we are able to create opportunities in our communities is through our CLA Foundation.

I am excited to announce CLA, in its winter grant cycle, has just awarded the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation a grant in the amount of $20,000.  This grant was provided by the CLA Foundation to support the work of the NRAEF.  This grant will be used to further the educational programs of the NRAEF that attract, empower and advance people from all walks of life in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industry.

The CLA Foundation started in 2015 and has granted more than $8 million to organizations across the country. The CLA family powers the entire effort by nominating organizations to be considered for funding, and by contributing financially – every dollar raised and granted comes from a CLA employee.

Mindy Plewacki, Executive Director of the CLA Foundation commented, “It is always exciting to connect with the organizations nominated by employees. We are happy to be supporting the NRAEF, which aligned strongly with our education and employment focus areas.”

“We are grateful for the support of the CLA Foundation as we work to empower the restaurant workforce with the training and tools to succeed,” said Rob Gifford, president of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. “Their partnership plays an invaluable role in building and advancing our industry in the years ahead.”
