Where’s Paul in January

This post will outline where I will be speaking in January.  That month is always a very full month for speakers like myself and it is always fun dealing with the joys of winter travel.

  • January 14 – The Land Investment Expo in Des Moines, Iowa.  I will be doing a break out session in the afternoon on Options for Deferring/Eliminating Income and Estate Taxes in 2020.  CLA will also have a booth at the Expo and I hope all of our readers attending the Expo can stop by the booth.  Here is a link to the expo.
  • January 19 – The American Farm Bureau Convention in Austin, Texas.  I speak Sunday afternoon at 3:15 pm on “What We Learned from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act”.  Here is a link to the convention.
  • January 22 – Ag Boot Camp in Iowa City, Iowa.  I think this is my fifth year of being part of this boot camp.  I will be speaking through-out the day on various accounting topics and this is a good boot camp to get started on using more advanced accounting for your farm operation.  Here is a link to the Boot Camp.
  • January 28-30 – The Top Producer Summit in Chicago, Illinois.  I think this is my 10 year anniversary of speaking at the Summit.  Tuesday will be the Legacy Project Conference and I speak twice on that day. Wednesday I do a breakout session for Executive Women in Agriculture and on Thursday I do a tax update and final projections for ARC/PLC payments.  Here is a link to the Summit.

I will also be doing a couple of private events and meeting with several of my clients during January.  Based on my current calendar, I am only home for 8 days during the month and in February the real Tax Season starts.  This means more time at home (which I think my wife will like) but still some travel for sure.
