One Last Combine Ride

Most of the wheat harvest is done for this year near Walla Walla, however; I was able to get one last ride in today on one of my client’s Case IH 8010’s (have to plug those red machines all I can).  They were finishing up a field just north and a little west of Dayton, Washington.  I am attaching a photo and a small video of the combine ride.  We were not on too steep of ground (maybe 40 percent at the most) since the sidehill levelers were able to level most of the time.  There were a couple spots where they could not fully level and due to the extremely dry soils, we slid down the hill a bit (I would guess no more than a few feet).

Here is the video:

After having the flat landers here from the Midwest for the Farm Financial Standards Council meeting a couple of weeks ago, it was nice to get out on some hillsides for myself.

I head off tomorrow for the Midwest Crop Tour which will start Sunday night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  I am doing the Western Leg this year.  If you want to follow me on Twitter you can check out @FarmCPA.
