Monsanto Wheat Settlement Update

I posted last week on how the Monsanto GMO wheat settlement for PNW wheat growers might average about 2 cents a bushel. That assumed a payout for all soft white wheat sold in the PNW for that time period. The actual amounts are actually higher based on the date of wheat sales.

For sales between May 30, 2013 and August 1, a farmer will get 12 cents per bushel. From that date until September 30, the payment is 10 cents per bushel. It drops to 8 cents per bushel for sales after that date and by November 30, 2013.

I have eave not confirmed this but based on the settlement amount offered this may be a first-come first-serve item so it likely pays for you to file your claim NOW!

Since I am typing this on my iPad, I am unable to set up a link in this post, but the original post was dated November 21 and can easily be found by going to the blog at www.farmcpatoday.com for those getting this by email.

That post has the details on how to file the claim.
