Getting Ready For Santa Fe

My wife and I made the trip from Seattle to Santa Fe today. Southwest actually has a nonstop flight from Seattle in Albuquerque that takes less than 3 hours and then it is only an hour drive to Santa Fe. I knew we were getting higher in elevation and I decided to download the “Elevation” app for my IPhone.  This is a great little app that tells you your exact elevation based on your map coordinate or GPS.

Our hotel is at 7,140 feet and the road out of Santa Fe to the hotel which is three miles north tops out at 7,400 feet. You probably were not expecting a travel guide when you got this post today.

Tomorrow starts a two day seminar in conjunction with the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation out of Iowa State. This is the same event that I attended two weeks ago in Traverse City.

I know there will be much discussion on the Morehouse case (I think I have read this case three or four times now and I still cannot believe the Tax Court opinion) and many other topics.

Right now my wife and I have feet up on the deck watching a beautiful sunset while I type this on my Ipad. imageIt does not get much better than this (I can say this since my wife is with me).
