AICPA Ag Conference Is Now Virtual and in December

Due to COVID-19 the AICPA Ag Conference has been postponed from July to December 8 and 9, 2020 and will be held virtually.  Here is a link to sign up for the conference.

Even though held virtually, the conference should provide great content for ag professionals and we hope that in two years the conference can again be held in person.

On another note, the IRS announced yesterday that refunds for returns filed after April 15, 2020 may result in interest being paid to the taxpayer.  This is based on a quirk in the Tax Code with the postponement of the due date from April 15 to July 15.

Also, Secretary Mnuchin indicated that the tax due date may be postponed one more time from July 15 to September 15.  We are not sure if this is a good thing or not but we will deal with it if it comes.
