‘Tis the Season for Conferences

In the past, I have done posts to update you on where I am appearing.  However, this time I wanted to share what some of my colleagues are up to.

Since Wednesday, Vanessa Bechtel and Jenna Peterson have participated in the Top Producer’s Executive Women in Agricultural conference in Chicago.  EWA is in its 6th year and draws over 250 producers and agribusiness professionals from over half the states in the US.  Vanessa and Jenna are having a great time networking with female farm owners and operators (though rumor has it there are a few men that snuck in as well).  In addition to beneficial discussion and content, the attendees took time on Wednesday evening to package 11,190 meals with Stop Hunger Now.  While feeding the world is nothing new to farmers, doing it in hair nets, in assembly lines with a gong in the room is a bit unusual.
